About Kyle Malazdrewicz, MS, LPC-Associate, NBCC, NCC

Aloha! My name is Kyle Malazdrewicz, I’m so glad you clicked on my profile! Great job taking a daunting first step! To start off I truly believe that therapy is for everyone. You don’t need a diagnosis to benefit from therapy—sometimes, simply talking to someone outside your day-to-day life can provide clarity, fresh perspectives, and support during challenging times. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment.
My Approach
No two individuals are the same, and I approach psychotherapy with this understanding in mind. Using evidence-based modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Person-Centered Therapy, I tailor sessions to meet the unique needs and goals of each client. Whether you’re seeking to manage anxiety, depression, trauma, or navigating life’s complexities, I am here to help you build resilience, develop effective strategies, and achieve personal growth.
My Background
I earned my undergraduate degree at the University of Hawaii, where I cultivated a deep interest in understanding human behavior. I went on to complete my graduate studies in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Capella University, and since then, I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse populations. From children and adolescents to adults, I have experience addressing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and more.
I am committed to providing therapy that is adaptable, compassionate, and accessible to anyone seeking support. Let’s work together to uncover insights, overcome obstacles, and create a meaningful path forward.

Commitment
I offer a non-judgmental and safe counseling environment for every client to be seen, heard, validated, and understood. A huge part of counseling is the client's need to trust and feel safe. I definitely strive to honor this as well as make each client feel as comfortable and safe as possible.
Modalities
I have a wide range of therapeutic interventions in which I have been trained, but each client is different. Among the modalities I utilize would be Person-Centered, Family Systems, Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy, Emotionally-Focused Family Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, attachment-based work, and Feminist Therapy.

Philosophy
Counseling is NOT a one-size-fits-all experience. Everyone has a different perspective in their journey toward healing. I like to meet my clients exactly where they are without forcing them to go into a direction they are not comfortable with. I provide a forward-thinking, past-sensitive presence with gentle nudges to challenge my clients to grow.
